Yuri Okamoto earned her B.A. in Glass at Meisei University in Tokyo, Japan in 2000. After moving to the United States in 2002, Okamoto was a frequent student at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York. There, she studied with internationally renowned glass artists such as Willam Gudenrath, Elio Quarisa, Pino Signoretto, Davide Salvadore and Karen Willenbrink-Johnsen. Okamoto currently lives in Indiana, where she was an Instructor at the Indianapolis Art Center and exhibits her work in galleries throughout the city. She is also a member of maestro Davide Salvadore’s team and travels throughout the United States as one of his assistants.
